I wouldn’t call ’em tour dates

by Daniel Abraham

A little housekeeping.

If you’re in Albuquerque this Friday and Saturday, Ty and I are going to be doing a little reading and presentation with the Albuquerque Science Fiction Society on Friday, April 8.  It’s going to be at the Shereton Albuquerque Airport hotel in Gran Quivera 1 starting at 7:30.  Mostly, we’ll be talking about Leviathan Wakes, but Ty might be persuaded to give a little information about being in Hollywood with George for the big Game of Thrones gig if you ask him real nice.

Also, I’ll be signing The Dragon’s Path and whatever else is thrust before me at Page One in Albuquerque on Saturday the 9th at 2:30.  Bob Vardeman will be taking the stage with me as well.

If you’re not in Albuquerque, but — for instance — Scottsdale, Arizona, I’ll be at The Poisoned Pen on April 20th.

Ty and I will both be at Comic Con in San Diego this summer, and at Worldcon in Reno in August.

I’ll probably hit MileHiCon this year too, since I often seem to.

[ED: And Bubonicon.  I don’t know why I forget Bubonicon.  It’s the one I’ve been going to the longest, and it’s the closest by.  Anyway Bubonicon in Albuquerque too.]

  1. I’d love to make it to the Scottsdale signing, but I doubt my schedule is going to allow me to be in Phoenix that day. If you come through Flagstaff on your way to and from some these and are looking for a break, let me know.

  2. Dang, I will be in Scottsdale on Friday the 22nd. So close, yet so far away. One of these days I will get my copy of “A Shadow in Summer” signed. That should be the crown jewel in 30 years right?!?

    • A signed Price of Spring hardback will be more. It had a smaller print run and doesn’t even exist in paperback.

On the other hand, Tor is looking to re-release the series as two omnibus editions starting next year.

      • Luckily I have one of those as well!

Do you know what time you will be at the Poisoned Pen? My girlfriend will be in Scottsdale that day, I can send her over to with my copy. (and you can convince her to buy a bunch of other books while she is there!)

  3. Just wondering: are you thinking of attending Bubonicon in the summer? Ian made me aware of it when I talked to him at World Fantasy, so I’m pondering whether I should take a little trip up by Albuquerque to see what he was talking about. Since I know you’re from the same area, just thought I might ask.

  4. And perhaps Mythco, too, in Albuquerque on July 15-18? Just nudging to make sure 🙂

  5. Any chance of you being at WFC? Or anything local to ComicCon but not taking place specifically at ComicCon? (By local, I guess that could be anywhere in Southern California.)

(What is it with San Diego selling out its venues so far in advance?)

  6. I’m really looking forward to reading The Dragon’s Path but its not available for kindle in Canada yet 🙁

Any idea when it will be out?
