Lizard Brain is a shared blog about Science Fiction and Fantasy from Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck.

So this is what being on the New York Times Bestseller List is like. Huh.

by Daniel Abraham

James SA Corey is now officially a New York Times Bestselling Author.  Check it out!

If you want to talk about it (or anything else), I’m going to be doing an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit Fantasy tomorrow night (June 18th).  Ty and I will also be at the Locus Awards at the end of the month, a signing at Page One Books in albuquerque on July 6th and San Diego Comicon.

  1. Congratulations! Maybe this means some future hardcovers.

  2. Page One! Excellent, my folks live in Albuquerque, time to call in a favor!! 🙂

  3. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Less talky, more typey – just finished Abaddon’s Gate, and not so patiently waiting for the followup. Get to work, slackers.

(Tremendous work lads, really enjoyed all three books so far and I’m not particularly a sci-fi fan. Keep up the outstanding work, and congrats on deserved success.)

  4. Just finished Abaddon’s Gate. Just wanted to say Thank you for an awesome ride. It was so good. So good. I got a little flutter in my stomach at the mention of Bobbie’s name and was hoping for a show up. But even without her, I loved all the new characters. Thanks again!

Will there be more? Hope hope hope.

  5. If you used the same name all the time, regular people would have more name recognition for you and you might have done this a long time ago. It’s hard for librarians to keep track of who is who and who and who else and you don’t make it easier. Now I know and now I can tell people all the different names you write under so that should help.

    • It’s a trade-off, that’s true. The other side of that coin is my dear friend Walter Jon Williams who writes a wide variety of novels under his own name and so struggles because no one knows what a Walter Jon Williams book is.

Regardless, I’m sorry that I’ve made things harder. 🙂
